The legacy of extinct volcanoes continues to shape the Styrian Volcanic Region to this day. The \u2018In the Footsteps of the Volcanoes’ (Spuren der Vulkane)<\/a> hiking trail network invites you to explore this eventful past over a distance of more than 600 km. In keeping with the motto \u201cThe whole is greater than the sum of its parts\u201d, all the daily stages are interconnected. Along the way, the hike through the gentle, feminine landscape also takes you on a journey inward, to your own self. <\/p>\n

Hiking maps for the entire \u2018In the Footsteps of the Volcanoes\u2019 trail network are available, as is a selection of overview maps for individual day walks and (circular) routes. <\/p>\n
